Tri-State Concrete Coatings, Inc is joining forces with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training program to raise money to help fund blood cancer research, patient education and support initiatives. Vice President of Tri-State Concrete Coatings,

this year. How are we going to reach the goal? Recruit Help!

Facts about LLS
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society-sponsored research has been the catalyst for effective treatments of Hodgkin's disease, lymphomas, and other common kinds of cancer, including stomach, breast and lung cancer. We are now on the threshold of a new era. The hope is that with accelerated
funding for research, all blood cancers will be curable by 2015.
The bad news...
- There is no known cure
- Leukemia remains a leading cause of cancer related death in children.
- Leukemia and lymphoma are the leading fatal cancers in young men under 35.
- Every four minutes, someone is newly diagnosed with a blood cancer.
- Every ten minutes, another child or adult is expected to die from a blood-related cancer.
- 894,000 Americans are presently living with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease or myeloma.
The good news...
- In 1960, the five-year survival rate for children with the most common form of leukemia was
just 4%.
- Today it is 85%!!!

“10 Questions” for Jerry DeLauder
Prize Description
Thank you, for supporting my marathon challenge and the LLS through the Team in Training Program. To complete a marathon requires commitment. To beat cancer takes something more. My heart goes out to those of you who know firsthand what “more” means.
Tired
of the sidelines not knowing how to help or what to do, this challenge is a way for us to show support and encouragement. I am just a contractor and a parent. I am not a researcher or doctor, but this is a way for me to utilize the skills that I do have to help in blood cancer
research and patient aid.
I believe a cure is attainable, and I believe it can come sooner rather than later. Thank you for taking the time to learn about this worthy challenge, and I sincerely appreciate your contribution to the cause.
Sincerely,
Jerry DeLauder
